Story
Ayashi no Ceres is the story of highschool student Mikage Aya. On the day of her 16th birthday, her and her twin brother, Aki, are shown the contents of a certain box. What they find within, is a mummified hand.
Each of the Mikage children reacts in their own way. Aya's clothing is shreaded, with a blast of power... Aki is slashed by an unseen force...
However, though Aya is only worried for her brothers safety, her family says that it is she who will die...
Why is it that her family fears her so? It is because of Aya's hidden ability... When angered, she can transform into a tennyo (heavenly maiden) named Ceres...
Ceres seeks revenge against the Mikage family (her descendants) for the theft of her Hagoromo (gossamer robe)...
All in all, AnC has a darker tone than Fushigi Yuugi, one of Watase -sensei's earlier works. However, it is a compelling story, with beautiful artwork... A story that is worthy of being animated... ^-^
